Joe, I'm not an expert, but I believe what you have (if it's real and not a model) is a Belgian (not Bulgarian) muff pistol.

There are a number of sites on the Internet where you can ask for identifications, and Google will show you many photos. Try searching for "antique percussion pistol" to find appraisers, and try "Belgian muff pistol" then click on images to see samples.
