Re: I love conversations like this, another Q

I guess I should have said I have two cages under my watch I am a dual property manager - our properties are two miles apart, Harrah's is a riverboat and Horseshoe is land based with a dog track attached - I office at the Horseshoe and spend a majority of my time there because of the high play and business levels.

The TV show Las Vegas used to drive me nuts and I would usually turn the channel after watching for a while, surveillance does not operate like they do on that show, but it does make for good entertainment. Management of a casino complex is not done from the surveillance room. There is a lot of planning, meetings and numbers crunching going on, so not nearly as glamorous vbg

If I were to say that any show captured the casino business the best. it would be American Casino in the early 2000's, they did focus more on the marketing side of the business and captured more of the fun stuff, guess the boring stuff does not make good TV. I could relate to this show more than I could Las Vegas.
