Re: I forgot the last part of your question

Good questions Ed

1.) Could you not just issue a check to pay off a large jackpot? I can't imagine it to be normal that someone take say $30K in cash (high rollers excluded). I know I would be very nervous about walking out with a huge chunk of cash.

A) We issue a lot of checks for Jackpots and Chips being cashed in, mainly for Jackpots. Some jurisdictions will even let the casino wire the money to the guests bank account.

2.) For the ATMs in the casino, are those typically filled/maintained by the casino or by a 3rd party? Or does it vary greatly from casino to casino?

A) ATM's at many casinos are 3rd party. The problem you have with ATM's is that your bank may limit how much you may take from an ATM at a given location. That is why Credit Card Advances (Debit Cards can be used also) are a big part of the business. Checks are also big of our business, we cash the most personal checks in the company.

The key is that you have to make money available to guests to get it on the gaming floor to play, then you need enough money to pay off the winners vbg
