I have seen the recent thread regarding my lottery contests. I don't think we need a lawyer to get involved. If it gets that far, I will just stop them now.
There are a number of issues that the "McDonald's" case is presenting that we do not have to worry about. First, this is a FREE contest - I am not soliciting money from anyone. We are not a "pool". Second, I (and other Club Members) purchase the tickets and scan them PRIOR to the drawing. I also buy lotto tickets for myself that I do not scan. If I tried to say that one tickets I scanned was my own, then you would have the right to fight it.
Here are the rules updated for 2012:
(1) I am the only judge & jury on any disputes.
(2) members only - you must be a member in good standing at the time of the drawing to be included.
(3) You must be on my contestant list to be in my contests. I understand that some club members do not want to participate and I respect that.
(4) Associate members are entitled to ¼ share. If a member on my subscriber list did not list an associate member, please link a message with the number to this post and I will add it to the list.
(5) If we hit the jackpot, every eligible club member on my subscriber list will get 1 share, with associate members getting ¼ share. Jackpot will be divided accordingly, and within all federal & state tax regulations.
(6) If the ticket(s) win any prize other than the jackpot, I will decide what to do with the funds.
(7) This is a contest run by me personally. It is in no way sanctioned or monitored by the , "thechipboard.com" or their respective webmasters.
(7) Any complaints, see rule #1.
