Great Question.... There are a number of reasons why. #1 Guests access to funds, many guests don't bring cash (or run out of cash) and will write checks, complete credit card advances, or will do markers* (not allowed in Iowa). #2 On busy nights there tends to be more jackpots paid out. #3 The money is is the BV's at the slot machines and drop boxes, and you need to payout guests for their TITOS, Chips etc...

If we see a multi-day spike in business usually we just need the extra money for the first day to get us through to the drops on the second day. Ordering extra currency for large spikes in business only happens a few times a year.

*Some people think that since we do not do markers that we don't have high rollers, that is far from the truth. We do get our fair share of high end players. One who is no longer a player for newsworthy reasons was Terry Watanabe - that is the guy that lost big at the Wynn and got kicked out, then lost over $100 million to Caesars Entertaininment in LV. He is from this area and spent money. Gambling, Drinking and Drug problem aside he is a very nice guy; I knew him pretty good. However I heard he was a real a-hole when he was on his bender in Vegas.
