First off, I would like to thank all my fellow chippers for your calls and emails, especially Jim Noll for sending out the email about my stolen collection. I can’t tell you how much it has meant to me. I was recovering from back surgery when the theft happened and I’m getting ready for hip surgery on April 3rd. It has all been a little overwhelming to say the least. If you sent me an email and I didn’t respond I apologize. There have been times when I just couldn’t get to email.
In regards to my stolen chip collection, the Torrance CA Police have arrested the scum bag (oh, I mean suspect) that broke into my house. Unfortunately, when they made the arrest they only recovered two items that were stolen and there was no sign of any chips. They tell me there are a few others suspects and the case is still ongoing. They have requested that I do not post any inventory or photos at this time. The PD has the complete written & photo inventory of most of what was stolen. I guess there still is a chance that some chips show up if they make any more arrests. Thank you all again, and I sure hope I’m able to see everyone in person at the convention in June. PS, the suspect has a long rap sheet and was actually on probation, so if convicted their looking at a life sentence under the California three strikes law. We are asking for restitution but are not holding our breath.
