Dennis, I just posted about 5 minutes ago regarding my new scanner. I read through the archives and it was a consistent message. Get an Epson Perfection. I went with the V30 which I belive is the base model. I am very happy with it......it almost scans too well. I also had a problem with pink. My all-in-one made it beige.

I picked mine up from epson.com refurbished for $40.

I don't see the V30 anymore but they do have the V33 available for $49 refurb.
