TCR shows these two chips to be about 12 years apart. My question is, the hot-stamp die used for the Christy Jones version (Hat and Cane), could it have been passed to BC Wills for there version (Large Key) some 12 years later?

Please note, while I do not have either chip, I am only assuming that hot-stamps of indian head inlays are the same in Al's example here. They could be different, which would negate my question.
