My Post Office Is Super

Here's what I do....I send my bubble envelope (4 3/4 in X 6 3/4 in) as First Class Postage, large envelope rate. There are some catches, however. To qualify, the entire envelope and contents must not weigh over 3 ounces and meet the thickness requirement of less than 1/4 inch or slide through a pre-cut slot in a cardboard measuring board the PO uses to see if it passes with out dragging on both sides. After that, I trim the paperwork down to one small wrapping paper, a plastic slide and an address label on the paper that surrounds the chip. The First Class Rate for Large Envelope is .90 cents for less than 3 ounces. That's better than the $1.95 I was paying before the rate hike. Look at the USPS rate tables for Large Envelopes, First Class, less than 3 ounces and check the zip code. I have been sending to all U.S. zip codes at that rate. If you limit the packing materials inside, you might be able to get two chips. I hope this helps some, if not move to PO Zip 75703...they have the best and friendliest clerks in the postal system.
