I may be in the minority, but I would update in the same format you used previously. Trying to establish value is impossible due to the issues you have raised and if valid at all, only for the day you write the update.

Given your great site is a guide to illegals throughout the country, trying to include value is futile. I know from editing our When Vice Was King article available in the site Education section, just updating the chips from Northern Kentucky is difficult and always changing let alone trying to establish a value.

If pushed, I'd try to classify given chips as Rare, Scarce and Common, but even that changes as new finds surface. For my money, a list with pictures is the best answer. Concentrate on getting all of the chips possible...that's a huge task in itself!
