Is the same buyer running up prices and winning the auctions. Reason I would guess is the buyer is going by "book value" years ago when some of these chips were fairly unique. Sorry to say some if not most of the chips one can find in the junk bins for $3 at the convention or buy for $10. Actually sick to see some of those prices. This is a good reason to have a description of scarcity to common vs. a price, my opinion. When 5 are known yes it's rare. When the seller has 5 boxes not rare anymore and the buyers are stuck.
Now I am going to get some of my dups and list them on line. If this guy wants to pay those prices, I might as well list some he hasn't bought.
