While cataloging some chips today, I found this one filed with my Dolphin Cruises chips. Evidently, I did so, because John Long's wet chip guide includes a $10 version (same mold, but in blue with 3 yellow inserts) of this chip with the Dolphin Cruises section. (That $10 version also appears to be cancelled with a hot-stamp over the denomination.)

Meanwhile, over on the MoGH's ChipGuide, there is a separate entry for SS Dolphin / SS Calypso, and displayed there is a $5 version in this same molded chip, but red.

The MoGH post also asks viewers for any information about the cruise line. I am bringing the same question here...

Anyone know anything about the origin of this chip or what "SS Dolphin" and "SS Calypso" are about?
