Yes it's another NCR post from your friend here in Central City And yes I'm home on a Friday night drinking coffee & scanning matchcovers!!

So I purchased a single lot of matchbooks/covers on ebay a few weeks ago. Listed as "35 Nevada Matchbooks" Occasionally I'll bid on a lot that is #1.....not that descriptive as far as the complete contents of the lot and #2 ....has a poor image to go along with the non-descript listing. I was the only bid and won it for $12 shipped. Below is the one and only photo in the listing...............what caught my eye was the West Indies, Reno cover (1945-1954) in the upper left of the seller's photo. A neat looking cover I had not seen before. Package was shipped from Jackson, Mississippi

Low and behold I dig thru the contents of the packge and much to my surprise was this cover... and I'll go ahead and say it, a RARE cover from Al Cooper's Polynesia (1951-1951). Not only that,, you will notice it's a unfolded, unstapled sample in mint condition!!

Also in the lot was another variation from the Christmas Tree, the new one, to me anyways, being on the left with the straight 5 digit phone number, Enjoy
