Came across this just as it is with the dollar bill. Plastic no splits, pot metal (sorry not silver).
Only problem is the clasp at the inside was detached and I fixed it with super glue but weak -see dark circle.
Otherwise it is mint in original box, might consider taking offers complete w/dollar bill and selling - I paid $60.00
