Pam
I am so glad things went well. I had very dense congenital cataracts removed in October.
Because of extreme nearsightedness, (-12.50 in R eye and -10.00+ in right), they did mine a week apart.
And I soooo understand that imbalance of one good eye and one uncorrected one!
YES! Dirt! Leaves! Colors!
Ummmm... cobwebs in the corners and dust on the trim.
Once I got past my 'no bending' period, I started cleaning.
(and all these years, I thought I kept a pretty clean house! OH! the things you'll notice!)
As a warning, depending on your level of nearsightedness with the catarcts, about 6 weeks after my surgery, I began seeing flashes and had a little bleeding of the retina.
It is fine but I did go from 20/25 to 20/40 (uncorrected) in that eye.
Thanks for the update.
And be prepared to be in vision overload for a few weeks as your brain processes all those shapes and colors and details you've been missing!
