Ties are risky in an environment where emotions can run high and be fueled by alcohol and money. Just as law enforcement does not permit full ties on uniformed officers, I can't imagine a casino allowing a dealer to use a full tie.

Clip-on? Yes. But not something so easily grabbed and thereby placing the wearer in immediate danger and control of a bad guy.

However, I could be wrong. And I suspect that full ties may have been worn until an event happened to cause their discontinuance.
