I am old enough to remember the general concern (hystera sometimes) that caused things like these to be published.

Relics of the Cold War, but if you were to read the "4 wheels to survival" it makes a decent primer for those who have lost their homes; moving to a car instead. With major headings like: Your car helps you move away from danger, Your car helps shelter you, Your car is your information center, and, Your car can be your shopping center!
