I can make this a daily topic. Post Office Report of the Day (POROTD)
So today I have to mail a sample link of chain to a client. I wrap it in a piece of tissue and place it in a 000 envelope and stick it to a back corner. At the window is a clerk who is not always there and has no idea that I have been arguing with the other two clerks. I politely ask is this a package or a flat. She says its a package and I ask why. She explains about the 3/4" rule which I say it is not and it will fit thru your 1/4" slot. She said well then it would be a large envelope at which time I say well then what would that cost. Answer 1.10. She says but it's bulky and I tell her it passes the flex test as it folds in every direction. She smiled and said have a good day.
Now I go to my PO Box and remove a bubble envelope that I know has 2 chips in it. It also has a one dollar stamp. I wanted to go show her look what I just got and it's not even canceled. Put while I argue outgoing mail, I think it was smart not to draw attention to what I receive as I am sure they would love to charge me postage due.
