We had a large box of my old comics in the basement about ready to get moldy so I called a dealer to buy them. She gave me 25% of the book value at the time (1978). I made $110 which was a nice present and about what I had paid for them originally. That is the good news. The bad news is that I had just about every Marvel Comics first isssue ever made. I started buying them when I was 13 years old. Fantastic Four, Spiderman, Avengers, Sgt Fury, etc. I would go to the store on the first Tuesday of the month and pick up every Marvel comic that came in that day. Most of those first issues are now worth well over $100 each.
