I was able to uninstall the program, and (at least for now) the computer is working like a champ!

At the moment, though, it has no anti-virus protection...

No XP discs came with the computer; when we had a virus a couple of years ago a friend wiped out everything, and reinstalled XP from discs I borrowed from a co-worker. Hope we don't have to go through that again!

That would probably get me to really seriously consider a Mac...
