Yes, the Plaza is at the end of the street, where the train station was.

Wouldn't you know, after half an hour of searching, I saw probably a dozen pictures from that angle from the 30's through the 50's or 60's...but not a single one from the 70's or later!!

If I find one, I'll post it for you...meanwhile...

Here's a couple that are a similar view, but instead of showing the Horseshoe and Golden Nugget, it looks like the photographer (me, in one case! ) was standing between the 'Shoe and the Nugget. In the picture that I took, it looks like they were finishing removing the MINT sign; I assume the Horseshoe was in the process of expanding
