Re: Another Polynesia Victim
In Response To: Re: Another Polynesia Victim ()

a few weeks ago both a Polynesia and Beachcomber chip came up for auction. As I said, they sold for $650 and $550 respectively....If I remember correctly. After the auction ended, everyone who bid on them received a second chance offer (including me). The guy stated that he had more than 1 of each chip and he was willing to sell me the chips at my (non-winning) bid amounts. Through conversations and negotiations with the seller, various people got information from him regarding how many he had. He quoted different people different numbers and even swapped the quantities around, sometimes stating that he had more Beachcombers and sometimes more Polynesias. Some people took him up on his offers, some did not. I don't know the details on where he found these chips or how much he paid.

I personally am sceptic as to his story and not sure how many of these are floating around. I think he is trying to find a way to absolutely maximize the amount of money he gets for these.....That is the American way right? I for one will wait until he will sell to me a price I am comfortable with or know how many actually exist.

If someone has more solid information, I'm all ears and ready to send payment if the price is right.
