I used to love going to the Claridge: they were the only place with 9/6 JoB video poker. I liked them because they were so small.
For a really depressing view, enter the Claridge from the street: empty, dark lobby where you use to check in. The only option is to take the elevators to the floor where to Bally's connector is (they blocked the stairs).

After they closed the Claridge and demolished the Sands they knocked down the moving sidewalk that took people from the boardwalk to their buildings. If you are on the boardwalk today, look at short the wall just to the right of the visitor center (the old entrance to the moving sidewalk): there is a plaque celebrating the partnership of Claridge, Sands, and the City of AC in building the 'Atlatic City story' (they used to have narration as you rode from the boardalk)

Very sad...
