was a great idea...thank you!
On Saturday the kids did a LOT of swimming, then we went to the top of the Hancock Building (easy walking distance from the hotel)...yes, everyone went to the top !! We went to Giordano's, but the wait was too long for for the "starving!" group , so we went to the Grand Lux Cafe again.
We went to the Navy Pier on Sunday...mom decided that it was probably too "young" for the kids, but it was such a nice day that we were comfortable outside, where there were snow sculptures, snow boarding, and dog-sled demos going on. We also walked around inside, checking out the Crystal Gardens, stained glass museum and shops. The kids also ran around making squished pennies...til all of us ran out of quarters!
After leaving the Navy Pier, we headed for Chinatown...only to discover that it was cordoned off because of the New Year festivities. Oh well...
Thanks again for the suggestion...now I want to go back, and ride the ferris wheel!!
