In Europe, in the past, "Kursaal" was a very common name, used mainly for Hotel and Spa.
In Italy many places were called Kursaal, and some of them had a casino, when they were open, before the WWII.
Aix les bains, in France, was one of them, the name itself of the town meaning "Spa of Aix", exactly the same of Italian "Montecatini Terme" (Spa = les bains = terme), and the Montecatini casino was in a building called Kursaal too.
