As some of you know, I sell on ebay. In December I sold a chip on ebay. I ACCIDENTLY sent it SIGNATURE confirmation, and not DELIVERY confirmation, which of course cost me more money. Regardless, I sent it on its way. Apparently, and proven by the fine folks at USPS, they attempted to deliver the item 3 times, with no luck. The item was then returned to me in a still sealed envelope, with a sticker saying "unclaimed". (picture enclosed)
About 2 weeks ago, the buyer stated he hadnt received his item. I told him it was shipped, told him the USPS attempted to get it to him 3 times, and it was returned. He stated he received no correspondence from the Post Office, and that he wanted his chip. I told him if he wanted it, to send me $1.71, which is what it would cost me in Delivery Confirmation. He stated no, that I didnt send it, and he wasnt going to pay. I let him escalate it to a Dispute on Ebay w/paypal, and paypal found in MY favor, and stated that no refund would be issued.
I then offered to return his money if he would leave good feedback. Now he says I am extorting him. I have over 1500+ feedbacks, 100% rating. (Mind you, this is all over a $5.00 Hard Rock chip from Tampa.).
To me, its not about the money. Its principle. I did my end of the bargin, and he failed to claim his package. I want honest opinions. He is now giving me crap about the fact that I publish that I am a member of the CC>CC club, has his money and his chip.
