brian i think you should reread my post or have someone that can read explain it to you. i simply stated a chip dealer creating a chip price guide is a conflict of interest, any economy 101 student would agree with that statement. in theory, a price guide should be written by an
independent third party who gleans sales price information from live auctions, e-bay sales, chip show sales, input from dealers, etc. that being said, i am grateful to all those who have written price guides (i own them all) as they are a fantastic source of reference material. the chip collecting hobby is far to small at this time for it to be profitable enough to encourage a third party to author a price guide according to my theory. until then it is a free country and anybody who wants to write a price guide is free to do so and i encourage them to do it.
