I have tried those. In fact...

I stioll have one or two around here, still in the plastic wrap. They come with a string/lanyard and are powered by 3 "button" batteries. I didn't like them because they were unreliable, burned through batteries, the beam was too narrow and was not very practical in lighted conditions.

But they sure are cheap, literally! vbg
