illegal inheritance?!

When my 90-year-old father died last year, I inherited his cigar box full of poker chips. I have many fond memories of my parents' Saturday night poker games with aunts and uncles and their friends using these chips. Once in awhile my father would tell me, "Don't just throw these out! They'll be worth something!" as they were a "souvenir" from his Coast Guard service days during WWII when he was based out of Galveston. The chips are all the same: yellow in color with the name "The Grove", which I've come to understand was an illegal casino in Vinton, Louisiana during the time he was there. What advice do you have for me? I might want to keep a couple, but I would consider selling the bulk of them if I could be certain I was given a fair price. Thanks for any help!
