Check it out. For one thing you can refuse to complete the sale. At worst you could say the item broke or is missing or your dog ate it. I think there is a list of reasons. I wouldn't be surprised if you can get a credit for your eBay "final value fee" if the sale did not go through. ... ...... I wouldn't be surprised if the bid retractions would be accepted as a good reason.
