My opinion of ebay is that it is a large dumping ground for things that people no longer want and will take whatever someone else will offer for it. Want to make a buck ... I suggest that one get a job. I agree with the club president, if one does not like to pay for a service; don't use it. Many sellers of homes don't use a realtor to avoid paying their fees, but then they don't get the exposure, advertising and contacts that a realtor provides.
There is always Craigslist to sell for free listings instead of ebay, but I don't see many chips being offered for sale on Craigslist.
