There was an illegal gaming house on the border of Washington, D. C. and Prince Georges County, Maryland from the 1920's through the 1940's. It was called the Maryland Athletic Club, but also referred to as "Jimmy's Place" as it was owned by James "Jimmy" LaFontaine. LaFontaine was also a promoter of sporting events such as boxing at the time. I would be interested in finding out if anyone has or knows of anyone that has any chips or related memorabilia from that illegal operation for sale.
