Another mystery chip for today. Not sure where it was from as at almost any base that had a club, there was either a separate club for Senior NCO's, either as their own building, or a more private area within one of the other clubs.
Depending upon the military service and the force structure at the time, the top enlisted ranks were either the top three or the top four ranks. These individuals could be denoted as the rank insignia for the top grades were in a different direction from the lower ranks. Thus the term "rocker". In so much as in most if not all cases, you started out both young and with no stripes on your shoulder, by the time you got to the point that you had enough stripes on your shoulder that you had a rocker or two, you were usually getting close to retirement age, thus the "rocking" chair shown on this chip.
