I just accidentally came across this old gambling movie clip from "No Man of Her Own" (1932). You might like seeing it. It shows Clark Gable as part of a crooked poker ring -- Actress Dorothy Mackaill is a bombshell whose job it is to lure high rollers into crooked card games with her beau, Gable. Shows betting and chips. And then later it shows something that has just about vanished today: Carole Lombard plays what looks like poker dice (a trade stimulator of sorts) with a "store owner" for a casual bet, often for loose change. See it here:

All the gambling scenes are in the first 1-1/2 minutes. Towards the end is some minor pre-code cheesecake featuring Lombard, not really worth waiting for. There are other pre-code clips on the page, better cheesecake-wise.
"No Man of Her Own" put Carole opposite Clark Gable for the first and only time (they married seven years later in 1939). "Carole went home to Indiana for a war bond rally. On January 16, 1942, Carole, her mother, and 20 other people were flying back to California when the plane went down outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. All aboard perished. The highly acclaimed actress was dead at the age of 33 and few have been able to match her talents since."
