I was definitely trying to be discreet . Taking some pictures upstairs at Main Street Station a few years ago, I was approached by a security guard. He'd noticed me taking pictures and "made" me show him a couple of the pictures I'd taken. Luckily I'd snapped a few upstairs...the elevator, pool table, etc. Guard said O.K., but don't take any pictures of the gaming area. If he'd looked back a few more pictures, he would have seen some that I took overlooking the casino floor...
