Poker rooms can use $2, $3 and $4 chips for various limit games. The Caesar's Palace and Sahara chips in Barry's post were definitely used on poker tables, for example. I think you just have to ask those who know whether they were drop chips or not. Start to compile a list or a set of scans and let people add to it and correct it. I would think Andy Hughes would be a great person to ask about them (you might want to contact him directly). It would be a great project for the hobby. Maybe a list can be posted on the club website.

Some of those chips are VERY hard to come by, though and you it will be pretty hard to complete at this time. But that gives you something to keep shooting for, and that's a big part of the fun.
