Mike funny you should bring that up. I bought a load of cards from Gemaco about 2 years ago all the same casino which I will not mention. This company is a very large casino company holding casinos in various states. Let me also say the cards were brand new not cancelled. They went through a design change so Gemaco so no problem selling me the over stock. When the company saw I was selling their new cards on eBay they had a fit and actually called me up personally and then had Gemaco call me up 5 minutes after them. It was Gemaco that was caught betwixt the rock and the hard place since if they wanted to continue making all their cards they had to get the cards from me and destroy them. They paid me some for my time and carrying the cards in my inventory and we came to an agreement. I wanted to continue on good terms with Gemaco as I want to go 100% into playing cards and accessories so I did not hold them up.
Over the years I have tried to buy pristine decks off of other card manufacturers and have no success. Either someone else has their fingers in it or the companies no longer sell brand new over stocks to people that want to resell them. My best score was back in the late 80's buying a sleeve of Rivera cards off of Paulson to use with my blackjack game and Bud Jones custom chips. I still have about 6 decks unopened I am saving for a rainy day.
