The Cal Neva is a classic design seen on their chips, matches and ashtrays. Murray's was a very early place in Reno. It was located 230 N. Virginia St and operated from 1942 until 1952. The owner leased a portion of the place facing Lincoln Alley to Bill Harrah for his Blackout Bar. In 1952 the owner sold the gaming business to the Nevada Club which continued to operate at that location until they sold to Harrah's. This information is from Dwanye Kling's great book on the gaming history of Reno.
