This topoic has come up numerous times here on TheChipBoard (over the years) and if there is a reluctence to post a reply in this new thread, I suspect it might be a function of not wanting to re-type what has been said in the past.

For solid information on this topic, I suggest visiting the Archives and search on "insurance" and/or "policy". Start with the must recent Archive, as this has been discussed in 2011.

But bottom line, Yes, some have "collector" insurance and some rely on their home-owner's policy (which probably has some limitations for some).
