ChipGuide Performance Problems

About a week ago I started noticing problems with the overnight job that copies all the updates from the development version of the ChipGuide to the production version. Basically, it would not always complete. Since then I have manually completed the job when it didn't complete. Today I was unable to complete the job and called for support. It seems that our "shared" server is experiencing performance problems and the jobs are timing out. Support is working on a solution and I'll keep you informed.

I was able to manually finish the update this morning after several tries. You may also notice slow performance when accessing the ChipGuide. Your patience is appreciated while this matter is being resolved.

Rest assured, however, that updates are still in process and the ChipGuide is still on target to hit 50K items in the near future. The 50K contest is unaffected.
