I have a large collection of $1.00 casino chips that I am thinking of selling. The collection has close to 3500 different chips from all over the world, as long as they contain a "$1" on it. I am no longer a member of the club but my original membership number was R-511 and I have been collecting the chips since 1983. I will not have either the time or patience to sell the chips individually or in smaller groups. I am looking to sell the collection in a single transaction. I have enjoyed collecting the chips over the years and I am not looking to get rich from the sale or even get back what I have invested in it. What I am looking for from this post is some information or direction as to how to start the process of selling the collection. I know of no store where I can take the chips to, so I need help in finding interested parties. The collection contains many chips of higher value and many many chips worth only a buck or two. Most of the chips fall in the middle somewhere as would be expected. I would expect the collection could turn a nice profit for a person with the time to individually price and sell each chip. Right now, I am just looking for information about how to go about starting the process of selling such a large collection, that is why I am not listing the chips or posting pictures.
