I bought a few chips from a guy whose grandfather got them many years ago and passed them to his father who died two years ago. This guy somehow knew exactly what the full retail value of these chips was. I made him an offer and he countered for $100 more. He also had some Las Vegas Helldorado tokens from the 1970's and 1980's that he was looking to sell so I met his offer if he would throw in the tokens. What he apparently didn't realize was that 6 of the tokens were sterling or .999 fine silver. But he didn't accept the deal yet. He called his "buddy" (probably a local pawn shop) and I heard him say "I got this other guy here and he offered the same price as you did. Do you want to pay more?" At least I hit the right price and the other guy was not interested in paying more. So I paid the extra $100 and got $180 in added silver value.
On to the sale. The $5 and $1 Pioneer Club chips are in very good used condition with no problems on either chip other than a little wear. The Circus Circus chip is as close to out of the box new as you can get. I am asking $375 for the $5 Pioneer, $175 for the $1 Pioneer, $40 for the Circus Circus and $15 for the Sahara. Both sides of the chips are shown.
