I found out that the "kr" was used in the actual casino chips and not the "$". Most of the regular chips I have seen are in the "kr". It is possible that the casino used both in its short operation before it was purchased by the Cherry Casino Group - which operates Cherry Casinos who issued casino chips with Cherry logos.
