I knew the story as told by Tom Wolfe in The Electric Kool-aid Acid Test.
It was "out there" for the time, but seems a bit quaint now. (Except for the drugs ... they're still out there!)
The documentary movie sounds interesting, made after all these years, though I have other things on my list to see & do right now.
