The new Tropicana LV 4$ drop chip sold on Ebay for $139.50 yesterday. I was bidding but lost. The same seller sold another $4 drop chip in September for $12.98!

Has this happened before for a chip in current use that hasn't made it to the market in significant quantities?

I want the chip, but not that much!
