Much as I enjoy the "of the day" posts, I just don't think I have the discipline necessary to do my own "of the day" .

I'd rather post a whole bunch of stuff, and hopefully "knock your socks off"!!

Technically, feature matches were manufactured by the Lion Match Co. They have pictures or other printing on flat, wide matchesticks. A standard 30-match book will hold 21 feature matches; a 20-match book will hold 15.

Other companies also manufactured matches with pictures and words printed on standard size matchsticks. Technically those are printed-stick matches...though most of us also refer to those as "feature" matches.

That was what I learned today...google is our friend!
