Ed you are a pioneer in the Illegal field. From your on line catalog to your publication you once put out you did a hell of a lot for the hobby. I sure hope you can be at the convention next year and make the meeting I am trying to put together. You are absolutely right about after you sell 6 from a new find it suddenly dies. Chips that have another interest such as Crest & Seals and are also Illegal have a much higher demand both in quantity and price.
I would rather trade for Illegals I don't have then to sell them as I am sure you know. It's always exciting to have a new find and then having someone attribute the chip The hunt is exciting and then the history is even better. You have to have a passion for this hobby to be a collector of Illegals.
You are about the only one who gives his book away for free on line. But there are certain books that are very useful ie: Delta Nights which is a very informative work. I also hear the Hot Springs book is excellent but haven't bought it yet. Would be nice if they were also on line but I know these books are labors of love. Paul Bender also has a great series and part 1 is on line about Jeffersonville. Good stuff can't wait till Part 2 comes out.
Your prices can be handled by taking the prices off and maybe replacing them descriptions on scarcity (rare to common). I am sure someone can come up with a better idea. Anything that is used also brings new problems to the table.
I am in the middle of cataloging and storing my chips
Thanks again Ed for all your work and all your help in the past and in the future, Mike
