I agree they looked simply stamped and not engraved. I have seen several old ad chips that are just ink stamped. If they are clay or paper chips doesn't matter that much. Some of the old ad chips look pretty crude. I have no reason to doubt these are genuine. Were you saying you bought the La Vera chips in this auction or have just bought similar chips in the past?
