Recently acquired an older Sony laptop. Won't boot on hard drive. With the System Recovery disc in it will attempt to boot but eventually goes to a "Sector not found writing drive C" message. System is Windows 98.

Not enough memory to install Windows XP.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
