I got this token at a local coin shop and I suspect it to be an Arizona Tribal issue. However, the term "Papago" applies to both the Ak-Chin people (Harrah's Phoenix) and the Pascua Yaqui (Casino of the Sun Tucson). Furthermore, the original Casino of the Sun gaming operation was called Papago BINGO, which added slot machines and then poker and blackjack, much later.
I suspect this is from the earlier Papago BINGO days, but before I visit the casino (which tends to not be interested in sharing history) I thought I would ask here if any Native American casino collectors might be familiar with this token. It has seen an extreme amount of wear and the mint mark is unreadable!
Vigil, got a guess?
Thanks for looking,
Jim
